This statement deals with your legal rights and obligations in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.

This declaration is also in accordance with the Law on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data of 30 July 2018, hereinafter "The Law of 30 July 2018".

The purpose of this statement is to explain what we do with the personal data you entrust to us, the reasons why we collect or process this data and the conditions under which we may disclose it.

This statement will address several concepts:

  • Personal data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural or legal person (name, address, email address, mobile phone number);

Adam Matériaux is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its users, in accordance with applicable legislation (GDPR). All personal information that users provide to us through our various services, such as browsing our website, email inquiries, telephone inquiries, in-store or online purchases, via electronic and/or paper forms, or orally in-store, is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Users may use our services for various reasons: to purchase products on our website or in store, to request a price quote and/or order, to confirm an order, to learn about our materials, to request the creation of their co-contractor profile (customer profile), to obtain quotes, to purchase products, to participate in training, ...

1. Data collected from users

Through our services, users' personal data is collected when they use one of our following services:

  • Navigation and purchase on our website, when creating the co-contractor record (customer record);
  • Requests by email, by telephone, when purchasing products in store or remotely, via electronic forms and/or in paper version or orally in store;
  • During training sessions;
  • Electronic reading of the buyer's identity card at the order desk, ...;
  • Administrative contact details of the purchasing company;
  • Payment details.

This personal data may include, depending on the service used: name, surname, postal address, company number, email address, telephone number, ... 

When you visit and purchase products on our website, cookies are small text files stored in your internet browser... No personal or identifying information is collected via these cookies.

By visiting or making purchases on our website or by providing data, the user consents to the Data Controller processing and collecting, in accordance with the terms and principles included in this Privacy Policy, their personal data that they provide on the Site or in connection with the services offered by ADAM MATERIAUX, for the purposes indicated below.

The user has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

If the user does not consent to, or cannot authorize, the collection or processing of their data as described in this privacy policy, they should not use or make purchases on our website.

2. Right to one's image

By visiting our store and sites located at Rue de L'Europe 14 4280-Hannut for the purchase and/or request for product prices, by participating in one of our events (Trainings, ...), the user is at any time liable to be filmed by one of our video surveillance cameras, for security reasons only.

By accessing our store and sites, the user is aware of being filmed and accepts it.

3. Our use of the information collected

Your personal data will be processed by ADAM MATERIAUX in full compliance with the requirements of existing European and local legislation.

The data we collect allows us to provide, manage, and improve our services, as well as develop new ones. This data is not shared with any third parties.

3.1 Sending Promotions to the business customer with company number:

For professionals with a company number (business customer), the data collected only allows us to inform them of promotions for which they have expressed an interest or for which they may have an interest.

In our promotional mailings to professionals with company numbers, the professional customer can at any time withdraw from the mailing list by clicking free of charge on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the promotional message, or by contacting us by email: sylvia@adammateriaux.be or by writing to the Data Protection Service ADAM MATERIAUX: Rue de L'Europe 14 4280-Hannut.

4. Accessing and updating data

As mentioned previously, when browsing and purchasing on our website, when requesting by email, when requesting by telephone, when purchasing in store or remotely, via electronic and/or paper forms or orally in store, during training sessions..., the user authorizes us to collect their personal information and to process or use it for specific purposes and to transmit the requested information to them.

The user has rights regarding the processing of their personal data:

a. The right to consult and access your data (Article 15 of the Regulation)

If you wish to view the data we process about you, you can exercise your right of access; we will provide you with the most complete overview possible of your data.

 

b. The right to rectification of your data (Article 16 of the Regulation)

Occasionally, some of the data we hold about you may be incorrect or no longer accurate. You can always request that this data be corrected or completed unless we are unsure of its true source.

 

c. The right to request the deletion of your data (Article 17 of the Regulation)

If you believe that the processing of certain data is inappropriate, you can request that this data be deleted under certain conditions because certain legal texts relating to our legal mission require the use of certain personal data without which we could no longer fulfill our mission.

 

d. The right to object to a specific use of your data (Article 21 of the Regulation)

If you disagree with a specific use of certain data within the framework of processing based on legitimate interest, you have the right to object. We will accept this objection unless there is a compelling reason.

 

e. The right to object to your data being processed automatically (Article 21 of the Regulation)

Some data processing and procedures are carried out entirely automatically, without human intervention. If you disagree with the outcome of this fully automated process, you can contact us. You can then request the intervention of one of our staff members or explain why you disagree with the response.

 

f. The right to obtain the transfer of your data to a third party – Right to data portability (Art. 20 of the Regulation)

You have the right to request that the personal data you have provided be transferred directly to a third party, within the limits set by the contract. In accordance with Article 20 of the Regulation, this transfer will be carried out in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

When the User exercises their right to data portability pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the User has the right to have personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another, where technically feasible.

The exercise of the right to data portability is without prejudice to the right to erasure. This right does not apply to processing necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

 

g. In order to exercise your rights (Article 12.6 of the Regulation)

When you exercise a right, we may ask you to provide proof of identity to prevent someone else from exercising your rights on your behalf. A copy of your identity card may therefore be requested.

5. Transmission of data to third parties

We never share users' personal data with any third-party businesses or partners. User data is never used for any purpose other than those described in this statement.

We implement appropriate and necessary administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect personal user data from accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, disclosure or use.

7. Links to third-party websites and social networks and limitation of liability of the data controller

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

In the event of any dispute whatsoever, the courts of Liège (Belgium) shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Belgian law shall apply to any dispute relating to a service provided by ADAM MATERIAUX.
