Flashings

In masonry and roofing, a flashing is a piece or strip (often made of zinc, lead, aluminum, PVC or mortar) intended to ensure awatertight seal between two elements of different nature. 

• Use: It is typically used to seal the joint between a roof slope and a wall, or around a chimney
• Types: It can be a metal strip with a sealant joint, made of PVC, or an aluminum profile
