Installation of vapor barrier seals on the PUR foam between the window frames and the facade walls

Installation of vapor barrier seals between the window frames and the facade walls:

Before installing the compression seals, a Lifol-tec vapor barrier will be installed at the junction between the window frames and the facade walls, over the PUR used to hold the frames in place.

The surface of the PUR foam must be clean, dry, stable and free of any dust or element that could compromise the adhesion of the vapor barrier seal.

The vapor barrier will be positioned continuously between the frame and the masonry support, in order to ensure continuous air and vapor tightness at the junction between the frame and the facade.

Particular attention will be paid to the angles, fittings and joints between the different elements, in order to avoid any interruption of the seal or any air leakage.

The joints between the vapor barrier strips will be made with sufficient overlap and sealing, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for the product used.

Once the Lifol-tec vapor barrier is correctly installed and adhered, the compression strips can be applied to the designated areas before the installation of the Adam Matériaux

This step must be carried out carefully to ensure continuous air and vapor tightness, as well as a good connection between the frames and the external thermal insulation system.

The entire implementation must comply with the technical specifications of the manufacturers of the products used , the recommendations of the Adam Matériaux façade and plastering system , as well as best practices.
